Cheese biscuits

I love various doughs. I also love biscuits. And savory flavors are on top of my hit-list. Those easy, cheesy biscuits came up a day that we were expecting some friends at home to enjoy a glass (or two) of wine. They turned to be a marvelous snack.


  • 125 grams margarine
  • 500 grams self-rising flour
  • 150 grams corn oil
  • 160 grams orange juice
  • 100 grams grated regato cheese
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt


Put all the ingredients in a large bowl and knead with your hands.

The dough should by soft and non-sticky.

Shape small balls with your hands and press them gently. Place the biscuits on pans covered with baking paper (this portion yields approximately 70 small biscuits).

Bake in a preheated, at 180 degrees, oven for about 18 minutes.

Leave them on a rack to cool and then they are ready to be consumed.
