As the weather starts to get hazy, and the temperature drops, there is nothing more comforting and delicious than a cup of hot chocolate, which gives you energy and keeps you warm.
It is very easy to prepare this mix and keep it stored in your cupboard. That way, you can always make a cup of hot chocolate to enjoy with your loved ones.
You can even put it in beautiful jars and offer it as a homemade gift to your friends.
This recipe can always be adjusted to your taste preferences. Add ginger, chili powder or anything you like.
Make a pot of hot chocolate on a Sunday afternoon, light up the fireplace and play board games with your children! They will absolutely love you!
Prep. time 5'Serves 12
- 250 grams of dark chocolate
- 120 grams of cocoa powder
- 200 grams of brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons of corn starch
- 2 sachets of vanilla powder
- 1 tablespoon of grounded cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons of instant coffee
The idea was originated by my friend Evi Skoura from The Healthy Cook, who was, in turn, inspired by another blogger.
Put all the ingredients in the food processor and pulse until you get a smooth, silky powder. You will need about 2 full tablespoons of the mix for 1 cup of warm milk. Bring it to boil and enjoy this rich, decadent, hot drink.
