Cinnamon puff pastry braids

Cinnamon and sugar is the perfect “match”. It is sweet and aromatic and can be used in numerous recipes. These cinnamon puff pastry braids is an easy snack to enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 teacup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

 

Roll out the sheet of puff pastry and spread on it 1/3 of the cinnamon-sugar mix. Fold the puff pastry right in the middle. Press the puff pastry with your hands to spread a little bit. Repeat the same process one more time.

Using a knife, cut the pastry into strips about 1.5 cm thick and twist them by holding both ends with your hands.

Place the braids in a baking pan which you have already covered with parchment paper, sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mix  and bake for approximately 20 minutes in a preheated, at 180 degrees, oven.
