Ingredients
- 500 grams minced meat
- 1/2 teacup of olive oil
- 1 large onion finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
- 2 leeks cut into thin slices (only the white part)
- 400 grams grated tomatoes
- 250 grams sweet corn, drained
- 230 grams sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 pack of puff pastry
- 2 eggs
- 400 grams grated Gruyere cheese
- 1 teacup of water
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
- Salt, pepper
Heat the olive oil in high heat and cook the onion, the leek and the garlic for 2 minutes. Add the minced meat and continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes stirring well.
Add the sweet corn, the mushrooms, the grated tomato, the herbs and the water. Season with salt and pepper. Once it comes to a boil, lower the heat and simmer for 25 minutes.
Add the gruyere and the eggs, slightly whisked, into the minced meat mixture.
Grease a rectangular baking dish and put the one puff pastry sheet. Spread the mixture of the minced meat, cover with the other puff pastry sheet.
If you like, spread some milk onto the pie’s surface and sprinkle with some sesame.
Bake in a preheated, at 180 ° oven, for about an hour until the surface is golden brown.
